    By Sarah Tully

Disney hotel union members submitted a petition Tuesday with about 1,400 signatures to managers, seeking changes to employee cards that they say would protect them against identity theft.

Unite Here Local 11, the union that represents about 2,100 hotel workers, is fighting to change identification cards that have encoded Social Security numbers, which can be read by smartphone apps and other devices. The shareholders also rejected a proposal that would have ended the practice of allowing Disney's board to administer a retest to determine whether senior executives qualify to receive stock bonuses.

Unite Here, the union that represents about 2,100 hotel workers at Disneyland and California Adventure theme parks, put forth the proposal -- maintaining that this second eligibility test increases the likelihood that top Disney executives would receive their awards.

    By Michelle Woo

In their bitter fight to bring down the Mouse, Disneyland Resort hotel workers have gotten a new loud-mouthed champion: Roseanne Barr.
